- Cotyledons elliptical, with rounded tip, more or less petiolate.
- Entire leaves, ovate to triangular, irregularly dentate.
- Height: 30-100 cm.
- Stem erect, angular, often alternatively white and green bands. - Opposed lower leaves elsewhere alternate. Middle leaves with 3 dentate lobes, upper leaves narrow and often entire.
- Whitish green flowers. Calyx with pointed and carinate sepals, hide the fruit.
- Rounded seeds 0,8-1 mm, bright, black, with deep and slender notch. Triazine resistant populations in Germany, Sweden, Netherlands. Species rare in crops. Is rare the correct description? It is quite unusual, but quite common in parts of U.K.
