- Leaves ovate-oblong, minutely dentate, pubescent.
- Height: 20 to 80 cm.
- Stems shortly glandular-pubescent, without longitudinal lines.
- Leaves: lower opposite, upper alternate, ovate-lanceolate, dentate, rounded or cordate at base, with petiole 2-5 mm long.
- Flowers pink with 4 bifid petals, in loose racemes; stigma with 4 lobes.
- Fruit: linear capsule up to 5 cm long, much longer than peduncle; seeds with hairy appendage.
- Rare in cultivated fields.
