- Leaves entire, elliptic, glabrous.

- Stem erect, shortly glandular-pubescent, with 2-4 longitudinal lines.
- Leaves: lower opposite, upper alternate, oblong-lanceolate, minutely dentate, rounded to subcordate at base with short petiole (1-4 mm).
- Flowers pink with 4 bifid petals, in loose terminal racemes; stigma clavate.
- Fruit: linear capsule up to 5 cm long, much longer than pedicel. seeds with plume on a short appendage.
