- Lower leaves opposite, later alternate. Leaves 5-9-lobed with a petiole longer than the blade.

- Flowers white, relatively small, solitary on axillary peduncles longer than the leaf. Calyx : 3-4 mm. Corolla 6-10 mm.

- Fruit : fruiting pedicel very long, capsule ciliate, 2-4 seeded.

- Rare in crops.

- Biological type: annual.
