- Cotyledons cordate at tip.
- Leaves divided.
- Height: 30-60 cm. Plant hairy with a root -tap.
- Stem erect, branched near the base, hairy at base and glabrous in the upper part.
- Leaves lower stalked and pinnatifid. Upper leaves sessile, lanceolate and toothed.
- Flowers pale-yellow; sepals erect. Fruiting raceme lengthened and tapered.
- Fruit : silicule coriaceous, indehiscent, 2 different parts: the lower joint ovoid, cylindrical, seedless or 1-seeded and the upper globose, 1-seeded, abruptly contracted into a beak 1-3 mm.
