- Cotyledons elliptic to ovate, rounded tip, sessile.
- Leaves pinnately divided.
Adult plant:
- Height: 15-35 cm.
- Stem usually with spreading branches, glabrous.
- Leaves basal in rosette, light-green. Lateral segments perpendicular to the blade, the terminal is the longest. Upper leaves divided in numerous filiform segments, each one bristle -pointed, not mucronate. Leaves alternate with a chamomile scent.
- Flowers : disk florets golden-yellow 5-toothed. Ray -florets white, 6-9 mm long. Heads 18-24 mm broad, solitary at the end of long branches; receptacle conical, lengthening and hollow. Involucral bracts on a single row and with a narrow brownish border.
- Fruit : achenes without pappus.
- Plant aromatic, used against disorders of stomach, heart, and veins, as antipyretic, resolutive, counter-irritant and against spasms.
- Risk of confusion with species of Anacyclus , Anthemis and Chamaemelum , and with Matricaria discoidea DC. and Matricaria perforata Mérat.
