- Cotyledons lemon-shaped.
- Leaves entire, lanceolate, more or less toothed.
- Height: 20-50 cm. Plant glaucous, hairless in the lower part, hairy glandular at the inflorescence.
- Stem erect relatively slender, usually simple but sometimes with few short branches.
- Leaves glabrous 1-veined. Lower leaves whorled, the upper alternate, all linear or linear-lanceolate.
- Flowers yellow purple-striped. Corolla 5-9 mm, with a nearly straight spur, slightly shorter than the flower. Bract narrow. Inflorescence pubescent.
- Fruit : capsule subglobose almost round, opening by apical teeth. Seed disk-shaped, 1-2 mm, dark-grey, with a large lighter winged border.

Mistake with: Linaria arvensis , Linaria supina (at vegetative stage), Linaria repens (at seedling stage).
