- Cotyledons lemon-shaped.
- Leaves entire, lanceolate, more or less toothed.
- Height: 10-50 cm. Plant glaucous, hairless in the upper part, glandular -hairy in the inflorescence.
- Stem erect, branched, hairless till the base of the racemes.
- Leaves ovate -elongate or narrow. Leaves lower 4 in whorls, upper leaves alternate, linear.
- Flowers blueish, white in the central part, in short then more or less lengthened racemes. Flowers with a linear spur, each one on a pedicel shorter than the calyx and at the axil of a very spreading bract. Hairy inflorescence.
- Fruit : capsule subglobose, nearly roundish opening at the top with distal teeth. Seeds disk-like, 1-2 mm, dark-grey, margin winged broad and lighter.
- Rare in crops.
- Biological type: Annual.
Mistake with: Linaria simplex , Linaria supina (at vegetative stage) , Linaria repens (at seedling stage).
