- Plant propagates mostly vegetatively (stolons,rhizomes...); establishment from seedling is rare.
- Height: 10-50 cm. Plant glaucous, hairless in the upper part, glandular -hairy in the inflorescence.
- Stem erect, branched, hairless till the base of the racemes.
- Leaves ovate -elongate or narrow. Lower leaves in whorls, upper leaves alternate, linear.
- Flowers white, small, numerous, generally purple striated, with a yellow palate, in racemes. Flowers with a linear spur.
- Fruit : capsule subglobose, nearly roundish or ovoid, more or less longer than the persistent surrounding calyx. Seeds ovoid, with 3 sharp angles, not winged, deeply wrinkled between the angles, dark, 1.2 to 1.7 mm.
- Biological type: Perennial with stolons.
Mistake with: Linaria arvensis , Linaria simplex (at seedling stage).
