- Leaves: glabrous or pubescent, the lower ones alternate, broadly elliptic to spatulate, gradually tapered into petiole, the upper ones (floral leaves) verticillate, sessile, base rounded or amplexixcaul, all finely dentate.
- Flowers small, greenish, without calyx and corolla, in umbels.
- Fruit: glabrous, finely verrucose, capsule with three one-seeded valves.
