- Cotyledons elliptical to ovate, with rounded tip, sessile.
- Leaves divided, pinnate.
- Height: 15-45 cm.
- Stem erect sometimes branched at upper part, glabrous.
- Leaves finely divided in 5 narrow lobes, with scattered hair,
straight and whitish on the lower surface.
- Flowers: the central, yellow, fertile, flattened at tube base and white flowers, ligulate in capitulum. Large capitulum of 12 to 25 mm. Receptacle in cone, with linear, straight palea.
- Fruits 1 to 1,5 mm long, they bear small rounded tubers.
- Plant with disagreeable smell when crushed. Plant antispasmodic vermifuge, vulnear and antiarthritic. Fresh flowers contains an essential oil.
