- Leaves entire, elliptic or ovate, regularly dentate.

- Height: 5-15 cm. Plant pubescent -glandular.

- Stems hairy in its lower part, stiff and erect.

- Lower leaves opposite, later alternate. Leaves pinnatifid with 3-7 unequal lobes. Lower leaves tapered into a petiole, middle sessile.

- Flowers sky-blue, very small: 2-3 mm, in long terminal racemes ; pedicels shorter than the calyx and the leaves.

- Fruits flat and reniform, 3mm long x 4-5 mm broad, shorter than the calyx. Style very short. Seeds ovate, rounded, red-yellow. Rare in crops.

- Biological type: annual.
