- Cotyledons very narrow, lengthened ( >10 times longer than wide).
- Leaves pinnately divided.
- Height: 10-40 cm.
- Stem erect, with tapered branches, deflexed-appressed -hispid.
- Leaves small, bipinnatisect, with somewhat lengthened lobes. Further leaves pinnate, several times divided.
- Flowers small, white or pink, in short-peduncled umbels, usually 2-rayed; calyx with linear -acuminate teeth.
- Fruit : achene small, linear-oblong, primary ribs with short points awl -like near the base and secondary ribs with 2-3 rows of slender straight and very hispid prickles. Persistent carpophore on inflorescence after drooping of the fruit.
