- Cotyledons elliptical or ovate -elliptical, obtuse or rounded at tip, attenuate at base and glabrous.
- Leaves elliptical, apiculate or mucronate at tip narrowed at the base, pubescent and univeined.
- Height : 20-60 cm.
- Stem erect with accumbent hairs, short and slack, and with bristly hairs, patulous and dispersed, erect.
- Basal leaves in rosette, oblong lanceolate or spatulate dentate, the others alternate, linear or linear-oblong, entire and sessile.
- Flowers ligulate whitish in capitulum in the form of terminal panicle,frequently overtopped by the lateral panicles.
- Fruits : seeds approx. 1.5 mm, pappus 4-5mm.
