- Leaves pubescent, oblong, dentate, pinnatifide. Upper leaves semi-amplexicaule, notched at the base.
- Flowers : ligulate, yellow in head. Capitulum incurved before flowering, downy involucre usually glandular, peduncle with several distant bracteoles.
- Fruits : central achenes with a long and slender beak ( 8-15 mm), the marginal short-beaked, narrowly included in the bracts. White pappus.
