- Leaves sheathing, the first linear, next ovate and petiolate.


Adult plant snapshot Adult plant:

- Height: 20-60 cm.

- Lower leaves in rosette. Green leaves shiny and marked by white vein at top, petiolate. Lamina triangular, with auricles.

- Flower whitish with tall spathes. Inflorescence shaped like spadix, pale yellow club. Male annulus terminated with a lot of filaments female flowers clustered reduced to carpels.

- Fruits red and fleshy.

- Plant leaves and tubers are emetic.

- Risk of confusion with Arisarum vulgare Targ-Tozz.

- Biological type: perennial with tubers.
