CAU is Leader of a Workpackage on "Symbiotic Efficiency and Ecophysiological Diversity of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) in the Chinese Stock Centre" and will investigate the ecophysiological plasticity of isolates within the chinese stock centre, in order to identify functional markers for selection and evaluation of symbiotically efficient AMF. AMF isolated from the Hebei province in north China will be maintained in the chinese stock centre and evaluated for their effect on sweet potato production in field trials with a local farmer, using inoculum propagated by the Kaifa Company. |
