- Flowers purple, 16 to 22 mm long, short-peduncled, 2-5 together.
- Fruit : pod with appressed hairs, very flattened, spreading or drooping, yellowish when ripe, 20-25 x 7 mm.
- Good quality as fodder plant; sometimes cultivated in sown meadows.
