- Cotyledons elliptic, clavate tip, more or less stalked.
- Leaves entire, rounded, with distant teeth.
- Height: 5-40 cm.
- Stem branched, prostrate or erect, pubescent.
- Leaves 3-foliolate. Leaflets triangular, dentate apex; stipules toothed.
- Flowers yellow, very small (4-5 mm); few-flowered inflorescence (4-12), sessile, axillary. Calyx with subequal teeth longer than the tube.
- Fruits : pods 10-15 mm long, scythe-like and downward recurved, densely hairy; seeds ovate, rhomboidal, strongly warty.
- Rare in crops. Plant protected in Auvergne (decree 30/03/90).[France]
