- Stem glabrous, prostrate, spreading not rooting.

- Leaves with ovate, minutely veined and serrate leaflets ; petioles and peduncles glabrous. Stipules ovate lanceolate wide at the base.

- Flowers pink, very small, sessile, roundish, dense, tomentose at last, on peduncles shorter than the leaf.

- Fruit : pod concealed by the calyx, sessile, unbeaked.

- Rare in crops.

- Biological type: annual.

- Risk of confusion at seedling stage with all the other species of Trifolium and the species of Oxalis .
