- Cotyledons lengthened, spoon-shaped.
- Leaves entire, elliptic or ovate, margins entire.
- Height: 20-50 cm. Plant glabrous, bright-green, with a scent of garlic.
- Stem erect, angular, simple or branched above.
- Leaves basal in lax rosette, glabrous, smooth, at first ovate-rounded markedly stalked, then lanceolate -ovate with distal teeth. Stem leaves alternate, sinuate -dentate, sessile and amplexicaul by 2 auricles acute at base.
- Flower white, small. Fruiting raceme with spreading pedicels ; erect and equal sepals ; equal petals longer than the sepals; filaments of stamens without teeth and not flattened.
- Fruits : siliculae very large, orbicular, flat, broadly winged all around, with a narrow and deep notch which includes the very short style. Seeds black, grooved, 5-6 in each cell.
