- Height: 2-15 cm. Plant pubescent and sticky, often reddish.

- Stem erect, slender, isolated, often branched.

- Leaves lower in rosette, spatulate, entire or 3-lobed. Upper leaves with 2-5 spreading lobes.

- Flowers white, 4-8 mm long, in irregular dichasium, with filiform pedicels 3-5 times longer than the calyx adnate to the ovary and sticky-hairy. Sepals erect, elliptic, obtuse, shorter than the petals.

- Fruit : capsule ovoid, enclosed in the calyx.

- Plant used in the past against jaundice.

- Biological type: annual.
