- Height: 20-60 cm.

- Stem erect or ascending, hairy.

- Leaves hairy, ovate in outline, pinnately divided, 3-lobed, cut-dentate, the middle more longitudinally stipitate. Cauline leaves deeply cut.

- Flowers yellow. Sepals reflexed, hairy. Receptacle hairy. Carpels glabrous, flattened, conspicuously bordered, beak short, broad, somewhat hooked at the apex.

- Fruit : numerous carpels in a rounded head. Short beak. Carpel ripe smooth or finely pitted.

- Plant toxic.

- Biological type: perennial with bulbs.
