- Height: 10-60 cm. Plant hairy.

- Stem erect, stiff, branched.

- Leaves lower in rosette. Leaves lanceolate, attenuate into a petiole, 20-25 mm, with rough bristly hairs. Leaves with an elongate-ovate blade. Cauline leaves more or less acute at the tip.

- Flowers pink at first, then blue in stiff scorpioid cymes, bractless, lengthening. Calyx covered with hairs all hooked at the apex. Corolla 2-5 mm broad with 5 concave lobes.

- Fruits dry indehiscent with very hard walls; 1-seeded.

- Plant melliferous.

- Risk of confusion with the other species of Myosotis .

- Biological type: annual or biennial.
