-Leaves : first leaf entire , rounded and truncated at base; the rest trifoliate, with leaflets obovate -elliptical or obovate-cuneate and glabrous .

-Stem branched .
-Leaves lengthy, petiolate; leaflets 30 mm, obovate, cuneate at base, tip rounded, margin with sharp teeth . Inferior stipules entire, superior stipules dentate .
-Flowers yellow, small 4-8 mm, combined in long pedunculate raceme to form spike of 30-50 flowers.
-Fruits : pods with concentric grooves, pedicels oblong , spherical, yellow at maturity.
