- Cotyledons : triangular, almost cordiform, rounded, different in size; 3-veined, the central clearest; hypocotyl pubescent.
- Leaves : the first margin almost entire, the second more incised.

- Leaves : 4-7 cm, alternate, petiolate, slightly hispid, palmatipartite 4-6 cm in diam. with segments scarcely lobate 4-8 mm wide, edges more or less parallel.
- Flowers : epicalyx formed by linear segments up to 1 cm with patent bristles ; calyx 1-1.5 cm, vesiculose, campanulate, sepals united for most of their length; petals up to 3 cm, yellow, with a deep violet patch at the base.
