- Cotyledons large (20 to 30 cm), slender, long stalked.
- Leaves orbicular to reniform, margin irregular and broadly crenate, coarse bristly hairs.
- Height: 50 to 200 cm.
- Stems hollow, ridged, hairs deflexed but not closely appressed.
- Leaves 15 to 60 cm, simply pinnate, very rarly 2-pinnate, hispid on both surfaces; segments variously lobed or pinnatifid, serrate, ovate to linear-lanceolate, the lower stalked.
- Inflorescence: Umbels up to 20 cm diameter, 7 to 20 rayed, terminal and axillary, stout. Bracts few or none, subulate. Bracteoles numerous, lanceolate-subulate. Flowers small (5 to 10 mm), white, greenish or pinkish.
- Fruits ovate to round, flattened with thickened wing.
