- Leaves entire, elliptic to ovate, entire-margined.


Adult plant snapshot Adult plant:

- Height: 10-50 cm. Plant hairy, greyish, with a principal developped root.

- Stem erect or spreading, lanate, very branched.

- Leaves green-whitish on both sides, ovate, stalked; secondary veins very marked, bent upward.

- Flowers white, without marked peduncle, in dense and lengthened cymes. Calyx hairy, 5 ovate lobes, lengthened and obtuse persistent around the ripe fruit.

- Fruit: circa 2 mm, dark-brown, ovate to pear-shaped, rarely hairy (mostly glabrous ), strongly tuberclate.

- Plant desiccative, resolutive and detergent. Presence of a toxic alkaloid in seeds and roots. Plant foetid.

- Biological type: Annual.
