- Leaves pinnately divided.


Adult plant snapshot Adult plant:

- Height: 30-100 cm. Plant climbing, with a developped principal root.

- Leaves lower in rosette ; blue-green, glabrous, 2-pinnatisect with large rounded-obovate segments.

- Flowers whitish or reddish or pink; purple-blotched or blackish at the apex, in lax racemes. Flowers large, 7-15 mm long, smaller than the floral peduncles. Sepals more or less toothed.

- Fruit : capsulae globose and indehiscent with one seed, smooth, often with 2 small tips near the apex. Fruiting pedicel recurved when ripe.

- Risk of confusion at seedling stage with the other species of Fumaria .

- Biological type: Annual.
