- Leaves pinnately divided.

- Height: 90-200 cm. Plant glabrous with a smell of aniseed.

- Stem erect, very branched, blueish.

- Leaves deltoid, lengthened, 3-4 pinnatisect with very elongate segments, lower leaves stalked.

- Flowers yellow, small, circa 1 mm. Umbels large (15 cm in diameter), 4-25 rays. No involucre or involucel.

- Fruit : achene ovate and lengthened, brownish to yellowish-grey. Carpophore persistent on the inflorescence after falling of the fruit.

-Plant used as vegetable and condiment, and in medicine.

- Biological type: Perennial.
