- Cotyledons awl -shaped, sessile.
- Foliage leaves linear, the whole lenght almost regularly broad, acuminate, flat, whitish-tomentosely haired; very small rosette, first only a few mm of diameter; after the development of the first leaves it already forms lateral branches, therefore dense rosette.
-Height: 3-15 cm, whole plant heavily grey tomentosely haired.
-Several upright stems, furcately branched from the base.
- Foliage leaves small (max. 10 mm long), lineal lanceolate, entire.
- Flowers yellowish, in heads; heads 3 mm long, 2-7 in glomerules ; involucral leaves only at the base tomentose, carinate; 2 mm the smallest capitulum of all the Compositae.
- Seed 0,5 mm, with pappus.
- Biological type: annual
- Spread: rare in cultivated fields in Great-Britain.
