- Cotyledons elliptic to ovate, rounded tip, more or less stalked.
- Leaves entire, elliptic to ovate, regularly toothed.
- Height: 30-90 cm. Plant glabrous, glaucous with a very long root. Adventitious buds on root for vegetative multiplication.
- Stem erect, minutely furrowed and numerous distant forks.
- Lower leaves, ovate-elongate, rough, coriaceous, ternate. Upper leaves smaller, pinnatisect, toothed, mucronate, with linear -lanceolate segments.
- Flowers white, small (less than 1 mm), in 12-15-rayed dense small umbels. Involucre and involucel with 4-8 linear or awled bracts.
- Fruit : achene lengthened and narrow, 3-4 mm long, yellow to brownish. Persistent carpophore on the inflorescence after the fall of the fruit.
- Plant stimulating and diuretic.
