- Cotyledons : ovate -rounded with small petiole.
- Leaves : at rosette, rounded, petiolate, covered with whitish hairs; successive leaves obovate, progressively weakened in the petiole.
- Height : 30-150 cm.
- Stem erect, branched at the inflorescence and hispid on patent hairs.
- Leaves : 5-7x1-1.5 cm, alternate and hispid; the lower lanceolate -spatulate, the upper lanceolate, sessile and progressively shortened, all with 3-5 teeth for side.
- Inflorescence: capitula 1.5 cm in diam. with champagne glass-like involucre ; disc-florets yellow; ligules white or pink about 1 cm long.
- Fruit : achenes with pappus formed by scales in two rows.
