- Cotyledons cordate tip.
- Leaves entire, ovate or deltoid, irregularly toothed.
- Height: 20-50cm. Plant with a developed tap-root.
- Stem rough at the base with downward appressed hairs. Stem branched, leafy.
- Leaves ovate elongate sparcely hairy and relatively regular-notched, lower leaves up to 150 mm long, narrow, pinnately divided, 6-10 segments. Stem leaves sessile, more or less amplexicaule, hairy and slightly toothed.
- Flowers white purple-striped, becoming purple as the calyx at the end of the flowering. Sepals spreading.
- Fruits : siliquae flattened but dented by the 2 rows of seeds, erect, linear (25-40 x 2 mm). Fruiting raceme lengthened. Seeds ovate, flattened, yellow-brown, smooth, about 1 mm.
