- Leaves entire, round, sparsely dentate.

- Height: 10-50cm. Plant hairy, fetid with an extensive principal root.

- Stems numerous, branched, elongate.

- Leaves pinnatipartite with entire or notched lobes.

- Flowers white with falling sepals, petals shorter than the calyx often absent, they are non persistent at the base of the fruits.

- Fruits: siliqua indehiscent, smooth, notched at the tip. Raceme longer than the leaves.
