- Cotyledons spatulate.

- Leaves entire, elliptic or ovate, with entire margin.


Adult plant snapshot Adult plant:

- Height: 30-80 cm.

- Stem angular, often reddish and very branched.

- Leaves : the lower opposite, the later alternate. Leaves olive-green yellowish. Cauline leaves, stalked, entire or occasionally 1 or 2-toothed, ovate, elongate, very acuminate, with a red margin. Leaves of the inflorescence small, entire, lanceolate or elliptical and really apex acuminated.

- Flowers small without corolla, green or pink, in glomerules, gathered in compound and elongated racemes. Sepals without keel, so the fruit is not hidden.

- Fruits pink, then dark-red.

- Presence of triazine resistant populations in France, Switzerland, Germany, Rumania, Hungary.

- Biological type: annual.
