- Cotyledons elliptical in shape of spoon.
- Entire leaves, ovate to triangular, irregularly dentate.
- Height: 15-70 cm
- Stem erect angular, often branched at base, with principal developed root ; hair glandulous on stem, both faces of leaves and calyx.
- Opposed lower leaves, others alternate. Leaves with lamina deeply divided, with angular lobe more glaucous green, slightly yellowish, venation very marked, hairs smooth, glandulous.
- Flowers green-yellow; sepals not carenate, persistent on fruit and hide it from view.
- Fruit containing one horizontal dark leaf sheath, slightly shiny, small keel on margin; 0,5-0,9mm diameter.
- Plant top is pectorale, vermifuge and antihysteric.
- Species rare in crops.
