- Cotyledons linear (more 10 times longer than broad).
- Leaves entire, round, with acuminate tip.
- Height: 10-30cm. Plant often spreading on the soil, glaucous or grey-green with a slender tap root.
- Stems numerous, branched, slender.
- Basal leaves in rosette ; stem leaves smooth, more broad in the third upper part. The later ones alternate, linear-elongate with a wedged base.
- Flowers pink, very small (1.5-2 mm) in crowded terminal or axillary small head-like cymes. Calyx with 5 persistent sepals. Corolla with 5 free petals. Usually 10 stamens. Ovary 2- to 5- carpelled, one stigma for each carpel. Stipules silvery and white.
- Fruits : achenes (1-5 mm). Seeds slightly warted, ovate, 1 mm long, blackish, thin-skinned.
