- Cotyledons elliptical to ovate, with rounded tip, more or less petiolate, entire lanceolate leaves, more or less dentate.
- Height: 30-60 cm. Glandulous hairy.
- Stem erect, branched with several glandulous hairs.
- Lower leaves runcinate, pinnatifid. Upper leaves sessile, oblong, entire or dentate.
- Yellow flowers with erect sepals and heart shaped petals.
- Fruits : quadrangular bulbous silicules with 4 wings and dentate angles (10 to 12 mm). Elongated fructiferous raceme. Triangular flattened brown seeds (2 to 3 mm).
- Plant which fruits are used against dropsy. Sap of the plant is depurative.
