- Flowers purple arranged in heads 7-10 mm wide, wider than tall. Involucral bracts spatulate, obtuse, sharpely tipped, arranged in 3 or 4 rows.

- Fruits : achenes.

- Halophilous plant.

- Biological type: annual.
