- Stem erect to prostrate, with clustered, glabrous.

- Leaves glabrous, with shiny lamina and plain margin, ovate or lanceolate pointed or angular.

- Flowers greenish in tuft within axillary glomerules, leafy and often near top, bracts as long as the restricted sepals with white boarder.

- Fruits wrinkled, ovate, rounded, opening cross circular.

- Plant refreshing emollient and slightly astringent. Species rare in crops.
