- Plant propagates vegetatively by bulbs and

bulbils; establishment of seedling is exceptional.


Adult plant snapshot Adult plant:

- Height: 30 80 cm.

- Stem cylindrical, leafy at base, glabrous. Bulb surrounded with numerous bulbils.

- Leaves of 3 5 , linear, grooved 5 12 mm large, slightly dentate, margin rough, glabrous, until 30 cm long, scape sheathed by leaves at base.

- Flowers vivid rose tall (10 12 mm long), in umbel, and sometimes with bulbils. Style and stamens: 1/4 size of calyx and corolla.

- Fruits: capsules.

- Plant with high smell of garlic. Frequency: rare in crops.

- Biological type: perennial with bulbs and bulbils.
